This piece is a modern rearrangement on the popular tune 'Oh When the Saints'. It uses reharmonisation, fragmentation of motifs and expansion of sequences to create a familiar piece with some refreshing & unique moments. The work aims to showcase each part of the ensemble with a variety of ranges displayed or an intermediate group to showcase the diverse sounds of a string orchestra. It is a great piece to show off how a simple tune many students learn early on can be shaped into something new and modern.
