"Post Romantic-Rhapsody" draws elements from the fusion of classical jazz elements and modern film score techniques to create an intimate yet expansive emotional landscape. Inspired by a radio interview about a scholarly claim that romance has faded in the 21st century, the piece captures the tension between hope and disillusionment. Minimalistic and neo-classical in style, it uses sparse, evocative melodies to navigate the complexities of love in today’s world. Paired with its companion work, If You Trusted Love This Far, the composition reflects on the fragile dynamics of connection and the enduring struggle to find meaning amidst uncertainty.
